EI VOLCAN

On Friday, the 14th of November, we went to the volcano. We woke up at 7:00 in the morning, got dressed, and went downstairs for breakfast at 7:30. We ate, and at about 8:00 the bus arrived and took us to the volcano called El Volcán.

On the bus, we played on our phones and talked with the Spanish students. At 9:00 we arrived at the volcano. We got off the bus, and then they gave us warm stones from the ground. At the beginning, a man broke the ground and took out stones and gave them to all the teachers and the children.

After that, they showed us how the volcano erupts. They put a little water inside, and after a few seconds the water shot up. This happens because it is very hot underground and the temperature is very high, so the water shoots upwards.

When they finished showing us everything, we went into the restaurant and took photos. Then we got back on the bus and went around the volcano. They showed us different landscapes.

When we left the volcano, they took us to the winery. There, they gave us juice and sandwiches to eat. After we ate, they took us to see the grapes and how they grow. They told us that some grapes are ready in the summer and some in the winter, so they always have grapes.

Some of the grapes were buried under the ground and there were many stones around them because in that area it is very windy. For this reason, they used big stones to make walls around the grapes. The other grapes were planted normally in the ground, and they also had walls around them.

The grapes that are buried under the ground are picked by hand, while the other grapes are harvested by machine.

After 13:00, we got on the bus and went to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we went to our rooms and rested. At around 15:00, everyone went downstairs and we went to have lunch. We sat at a tavern, and everyone ordered whatever they wanted.

After that, we all got up and left. The hotel was about 7 minutes away from the restaurant. When we arrived back at the hotel, we had free time and did whatever we wanted. My friends and I lay on the beds and I fell asleep. Later, when we woke up, we started preparing our suitcases because it was the last day and we had to leave the next morning.

We went to a nearby kiosk and bought magnets and various gifts for our parents. After we bought everything, we went back up to the hotel and packed the things we wouldn't need anymore. When we had almost finished packing and it was around 21:00, we went downstairs to play volleyball with the Spanish students. We played on the sand, and those who were not playing sat and talked to each other, while the teachers were sitting across the street at a café.

When it was around 23:00, we started heading back to the hotel. We took showers and went to sleep.
